Introduction

Autoplug reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify the Services or to modify the Agreement, including these Terms, at any time. If we modify these Terms, we will post the modification on the Services. We will also update the “Last Revised” date at the top of these Terms. If you continue to access or use the Services after we have posted a modification or have provided you with notice of a modification, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by the modified terms. If the modified terms are not acceptable to you, your sole recourse is to stop using and accessing the Services and close your Autoplug Account within 30 days. If you choose to close your Autoplug Account, the previous effective version of these Terms will apply to you, unless you use the Services during the intervening 30-day period, in which case the new version of these Terms will apply to you.

The Services are intended solely for guests who meet our eligibility requirements in the location where the vehicle is booked and hosts who are 18 years or older. Any use of the Services by anyone that does not meet these eligibility requirements is expressly prohibited. To use most features of the Services, you must register for an account. You must provide accurate and complete information (including a valid National ID and Driver's License for hosts). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Hosts must ensure that all listed vehicles are in good working condition, properly registered with relevant Ugandan authorities, and covered by at least third-party insurance. For most rentals, the host must provide a qualified driver. For specialized service vehicles (cranes, tow trucks), additional professional certifications are mandatory.

Autoplug provides two booking methods: 'Book Now' for instant confirmation at the listed price, and 'Bargain' for price negotiations. A booking is considered confirmed once the host accepts the request and the client makes the required payment through the platform's secure payment system.

All payments must be made through the Autoplug platform. Funds are held in a secure escrow-like system and are only released to the host upon successful completion of the rental period. Autoplug charges a service fee for facilitating these transactions, which is clearly displayed during the checkout process.

Since most rentals through Autoplug include a host-provided driver, the host remains primarily responsible for the safety and operation of the vehicle. Clients are expected to use the vehicle for its intended purpose and are liable for any damages caused by personal negligence or misuse outside of the driver's control.
